A Table Grace for Ordinary Days

Lord of soil and seed,

We thank You for this food and for all the hands that helped bring it to this table.

For the farmer who planted,
for the rain that fell,
for the sunshine that warmed,
for the earthworms that worked unseen,
for the animals that grazed,
for the cook who prepared this meal,
and for the friends and family gathered here.

May we receive these gifts with gratitude and use the strength they provide in service to You and to our neighbors.

Bless this food to our bodies,
this fellowship to our souls,
and this home to Your purposes.

Amen.
