Rooted in Grace

Stillwater Farm Texas is a place where faith meets the land, neighbors become family, and God’s goodness is woven into the everyday rhythms of farm life. Here in the rich soil of East Texas, we believe there is something sacred about honest work, open fields, shared meals, and gathering people together around the table. From sunrise over the pasture to evenings beneath wide Texas skies, this farm reminds us to slow down, care for one another, steward the land faithfully, and find joy in the simple blessings God provides each day.It is our prayer that every visitor leaves here encouraged, nourished, welcomed, and reminded that community, kindness, and faith still matter deeply in this world.

“The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it.”— Psalms

At Picklin' Parson, it does not take long to remember that none of this truly belongs to us. The fields, the animals, the orchards, the rain, the harvest, and even the quiet beauty of an East Texas sunrise are gifts entrusted to our care. Farming has a way of humbling a person. It teaches us that goodness grows slowly, that life depends on stewardship, and that caring for creation is one of the ways we honor the Creator.

The “From the Farm” page is an invitation to walk alongside us through the seasons of farm life — sharing stories from the land, reflections on faith, conversations about food and regenerative farming, and moments that remind us to live with gratitude and purpose. Whether we are tending animals, harvesting produce, preserving recipes, or simply watching the sun settle over the pasture, we believe God’s goodness can be found in the everyday rhythms of creation and in the communities gathered around the table.
